Every major crisis has been interpreted as the beginning of the end: the Iran-Iraq War, student uprisings, the Green Movement, the maximum pressure campaign, the Woman, Life, Freedom protests, economic crises, regional confrontations, assassinations of senior military figures, and internal factional rivalries.
