Today, the Islamic Republic is weaker than ever and more helpless in facing crises. Amidst all this, the greatest weakness of this regime is its lack of legitimacy and popular support. Our Iran is rich in natural resources and human capital, and its people should never have to worry about lack of water and bread, medicine and healthcare, or fuel and electricity in the heat and cold. Or as they receive wages in rials, struggle to make ends meet with a 70,000-toman dollar and rampant inflation. The increasing problems you face stem from the incompetence and corruption that is woven into the very fabric of this regime. The Islamic Republic lacks both the will and ability to run the country and provide the most basic needs of the people. Those who promised the Iranian nation free water and electricity have dried up our wealthy land and taken it back to the Dark Ages. They have replaced the vision of our great civilization with a great horror. But now, in this critical period and at this new juncture, we have two paths before us: either we watch and wait for others to make their desired changes for us, or we become the driving force of change and with national determination and will, establish the aspirations of the Iranian nation in our homeland and in the think tanks and corridors of power around the world. My choice, without a doubt, is the second option. At your call, I am ready to guide this change and lead the transitional period. My ability stems from your strength. The energy I draw from the continuation of your rightful struggles and protests, I will use toward establishing a national government in Iran and garnering maximum global support to achieve it. Now is the time to decide. Let us move towards a bright and free, prosperous and flourishing future.
